What the heck is RSS?

RSS = Real Simple Syndication

Hotsource RSS

But what does that really mean? In plain English?

Advanced web users have figured out a way to see all of their favourite sites on one screen. They set up a page where the new information from all of their favourite sites is published. It's like they've created their own newspaper and have told the paper exactly what they want to see. Then, all they have to do whenever they go to the web is go to that page and they can see the new content at a glance. They probably set it up as their home page. Then, when they see something they want to read, they just click on it and go directly to the original site. It's very cool and they can stay very up to date.

You can do it, too! We found this homemade video which tells you how. According to the producers, there are two types of Internet users, those that use RSS and those that don't. This video is for the people who could save time using RSS, but don't know where to start.
