Privacy policy

Hot Source™ is operated by Expert Everywhere Pty Ltd. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, which set out how personal information must be handled. This page covers this website. It does not cover the Hot Source application, which is provided to health services under a separate agreement and has its own terms.

Most of this site can be read without giving us anything. If you send an enquiry, we ask for your name and your work email address, and we take your organisation from that address. An enquiry can also include a phone number, the approximate number of policies your organisation has and whatever you choose to write in the message. If you ask us to email a capacity report, we ask for your name, work email address and organisation, and the report includes the calculator assumptions you selected.

When you send an enquiry, we record the IP address it was sent from and keep it with the enquiry. We use it to protect the form against misuse and to help us understand where an enquiry came from. When you visit, our hosting provider also records ordinary technical information such as browser type, pages viewed, access times and IP address.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visitors and page views, so we can see which pages are read. It does not use cookies. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Please do not send patient information, clinical records or any other sensitive personal information through this form. It is not the right channel for it, and we do not need it to answer your enquiry.

We use what you send to reply to you, deliver a report you request, arrange a demonstration, and follow up about that enquiry or scenario. Requesting a report does not subscribe you to a mailing list. If we later contact you about Hot Source more generally, every message will carry a way to stop, and you can ask us to stop at any time. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Enquiries are stored in our protected website database and emailed to our team so we can respond. The connection between your browser and this site is encrypted.

The website and its database are hosted in Australia. Emails we send, including the notification of your enquiry to our team, are delivered by an email service provider that processes them outside Australia.

We use other companies to run this site, including website hosting, database hosting and email delivery. They receive only what they need to provide that service, and they are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations. We do not give anyone else access to enquiries.

We keep enquiries for as long as we are in contact with you about them, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will help, subject to the exceptions the law allows.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you can complain to us first, and then to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy. Changes apply from the date they are published here, and the date at the top of this page will tell you when that was.

Use the form at the foot of our home page and say it is a privacy enquiry. It reaches us the same way anything else does.
